Wayne National Forest has planned prescribed fires for the fall with planned burn areas being in the Athens and Ironton Ranger Districts.

Nebo Spirit east of the intersection with Beech Drop
While roads throughout the Baileys Trail System area will remain open, we strongly encourage you to avoid the area on Wednesday and Thursday. The above trails will stay closed until further notice! Stay tuned for any changes!
The Baileys Trail System will be be closed to bikes for deer gun hunting seasons this fall. Closure dates include:
November 18th & 19th (Youth season)
November 27th to December 3rd,
December 16th & 17th.
All foot traffic should use caution, wear bright colors, or avoid the trails all together during this timeframe. We encourage trail users to also use caution during muzzleloader season January 6th - January 9th.

The Baileys Trail System will close to mountain bikes for the winter. Official dates will be announced soon, check back for updates.
The Chauncey-Dover Park Trailhead is located at the Chauncey-Dover Community Park in Chauncey, Ohio, near Hwy 33 and Rt. 13. From Rt. 13, turn onto W. Bailey Rd and cross the train tracks. After a couple hundred feet, the long, paved driveway into the main parking area will be on the left.

The Doanville-York Trailhead is located on W. Bailey Rd., about 4.5 miles from the Chauncey-Dover Trailhead. Or, coming from Columbus, take US-33 E and exit 185 for OH-78/OH-691 toward Nelsonville/Buchtel. Turn right onto OH-691/Happy Hollow Rd., left onto Old US-33/Twp 36, left onto Lang Rd., and left onto W. Bailey Rd. The trailhead will be on the right.
